 Project: Transport Service food for All
“Comida para todos - Food for All“ is the latest Lions Club Palma project since December 2010. A renowned supermarket chain is supplying food and hygiene products, prior to the expiry date, from a total of seven branches for free!

 Who is the project aimed at?
The food is delivered to the following organizations:
“Frailes Caputxinos” in Palma, the “Zaqueo“ community dining hall in Palma, the “Monestario de la Real“ in Palma, “Padre Miralles” in Palma, “Can Gaza“ (Pater Santandreu) and the Catholic church in Palma. These organizations help families, children & elderly people, prepare hot food and deliver food parcels to the needy.

 What costs are involved?
We at the Lions finance the transport, fuel and drivers to collect the goods every day and take them directly to the charities who then distribute them among the needy.

The Club presently rents the refrigerated van, which costs €800 plus petrol expenses for about 6.000 km per month, which also ascends to approx. €800. Total transport costs € 1.600.

The driver is self-employed and presents a monthly invoice of €1.700 (gross).
The total per month ascends to €3.300.

At present we rely on a donation fund to cover the cost of the vehicle and driver over the first six months.

We need your help and donations!
However only with your help, dear sponsors, donors and (long term) sponsors can we further guarantee the cost of transporting goods to the various distribution points after the first six months.
When partly or totally sponsoring a refrigerated van owned by the club you will be able to advertise yourself or your company on the van.
